Lois Clara (Hinterland) Tavares, 92, of Warwick, died on Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Costa Tavares.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Clara (Thompson) Hinterland.

Lois was employed as an Office Worker for New England Telephone until her retirement. She loved being with her family and enjoyed skiing, boating, sewing, and trips to Foxwoods Resort & Casino.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Paula M. Tavares and her grand-dog Emerson.

She was a sister of the late Warren Hinterland, the late Jane LaFazia, and the late Betty Hinterland.

Due to current health and safety regulations, her Funeral Services will be private. Interment will take place at Pocasset Cemetery, Cranston. Funeral

Arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
