Debra L. (Hamilton) Wilson,
52, of North Kingstown, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. Debbie was an organ donor, giving the gift of life. She was the loving wife of James S. Wilson for 26 years. Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ervin T. Hamilton, Sr. of Vine Grove, KY, and the late Bernice Hamilton.
Mrs. Wilson worked as an Insurance Agent with Abrams All State Agency of North Kingstown. She volunteered as an election official in North Kingstown for 20 years, was a supporter of Big Sisters, a volunteer at the North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, and a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford.
Besides her husband and father, she leaves her two devoted sons, John H. Wilson of East Greenwich and Colin S. Wilson of North Kingstown. Cherished sister of Jerry Brown of Radcliff, KY, Ervin T. Hamilton, Jr. of San Diego, Ca, James Hamilton of Vine Grove, KY, and Randy Hamilton of Crest View, FL. She was the daughter-in-law of Paul Wilson and his wife Elizabeth of North Kingstown. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, "Champ."
Her Requiem Eucharist will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall immediately after the service. Funeral Procession for Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery will leave at 2:30 pm from St. Paul's Church. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, 500 Stony Lane, North Kingstown, RI 02852 will be appreciated.
