James Paul Galligan, 79, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Christine M. (Wallace) Galligan. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Madeline (Coleman) Galligan. He was a life-long resident of Warwick.

Jim worked as a Repair Technician for the Automated Emblem Supplies Company in Foxboro, MA for over 20 years. He was entirely devoted to his family and in his free time enjoyed woodworking and his pool. He loved the ocean and enjoyed being out on the water or going to Sand Hill Cove Beach.

He is survived by his beloved children, James P. Galligan, Jr. (Karen) of Medway MA, Sean P. Galligan, Sr. (Julie) of Garland, ME, and Melissa K. Allen (Brian) of Burrillville, his siblings, John Galligan (Judy) of Nashua, NH, William Galligan (Lisa) of Exeter, and Marcia Vaphiades (Peter) of Port Charlotte, FL, eleven grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Joan Rebidue and Bettyann Christiansen.

His Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
