William L. O. Cook, 74, of Wyoming, RI passed away peacefully on March 19th.

Born January 7, 1950 in Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mary (Murray) Cook. He leaves behind his partner of 20+ years Lois Kusmierz.

A devoted family man who loved his grandchildren dearly. He was the definition of hard working, generous, caring, and humble. He’d do anything for his family, friends, and neighbors. In his early years he coached little league baseball, had vegetable gardens, and you could catch him riding his tractor cutting the family's grass enjoying his favorite cold beverage, Coors Light. He loved grilling, gardening (both vegetables and flowers), being out in the yard, golfing and later in life traveling to the warm weather of Florida in the winter.

I have a feeling the beer won’t be as cold, the grass won’t be as green and the drives won’t be as straight without him around.

Mr. Cook was the father of William (Danielle) of Trinity, FL and Michael (Melissa) Cook of Foster, RI. He is also survived by his grandchildren Aiden, Alexandra, Kolby, Kyle, and Haddie.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.  Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery will be private.
