Wesley William Wild Sr., 91, of Wakefield, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by family at the HopeHealth Hospice Center. He was the son of John Watson and Mabel (Bardsley) Wild, and he was the youngest of eleven children. Wesley was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia L. (Cloutier) Wild, as well as his ten siblings and parents.

He is survived by his loving children, Muriel A. Mueller of West Kingston, Bonnie J Gould of Spring Hill, FL, Wesley W Wild Jr. of Albany, GA, Marilyn E. Aspinwall of Forked River, NJ, and Tracy L. Davie of Wake Forrest, NC. He was a cherished grandfather to fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. 

During his lifetime, Wesley held many roles, most importantly as a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend. Wesley was a devoted follower of Christ, spending most Sundays in church. He owned and operated Wild’s Country Butcher Shop in Pascoag until his retirement.

Wesley grew up and remained in Lincoln for much of his life, later he divided his time between Florida and Rhode Island. Wesley enjoyed travel, baseball, fishing, practicing his religion, and spending time with friends and family. Wesley was active throughout his life, being an avid swimmer in his younger years and enjoying walks along Narragansett Beach in his most recent years.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00, with a service to follow in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Wesley will be laid to rest beside his lifelong love at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery following the service.
