James Robert LaFazia, 60, of Warwick, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas V. and Catherine P. (Casey) LaFazia.

James was a member of the film and television production community in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for many decades. He was a proud and beloved member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 481. He joined Local 481 in 2000 in the Set Construction and Grip Departments and contributed his talents to many films and television productions including: Brotherhood, Moonrise Kingdom, Joy, Castle Rock and most recently NOS4A2.

James is survived by three brothers: Donald LaFazia of Edmund, OK, Thomas LaFazia (Brenda) of South Kingstown and Frank LaFazia (Antoinette) of Warwick; a sister: Donna Miller (Harold) of Warwick; a brother-in-law: Ronald Wilson of Warwick; nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

He was the brother of the late Beverly Ann Wilson and John LaFazia.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 9 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at funeral home on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4 PM - 7 PM. Burial will take place in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at: www.stjude.org.
