Marianne (Dineen) Canetta, 78, of Warwick, RI and Indian Shores, FL died on February 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Marianne will be lovingly remembered by Joseph, her devoted husband of 56 years and their six children: Tara, her husband, Peter Anthony and their children John, Joseph and Kells of Bedford, NY; Kim Wackell, her husband, Richard and their children Michael and Matthew of Shrewsbury, MA; Patrice Martinelli, her husband, Gary and their children Kylan and Capri of Glocester, RI; Jay and his wife Helen and their daughter, Nathalie of Belmont, MA; Christopher of Scottsdale, AZ; and John, his wife Leah and their children Claudia, Ansley, Luke and Veronica of Ann Arbor, MI.

Marianne was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Kells) Dineen.  She is survived by her siblings Frances Murphy, John Dineen, Eileen Abruzzo, Kathleen Dineen, and Jere Dineen, all of NY, and her brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Linda Canetta of New Port Richey, FL.  She was predeceased by her brother Edward Dineen. Marianne also had many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Marianne was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick, RI and Blessed Sacrament Church, Seminole, FL. She enjoyed the fifteen years she worked at MetLife. Marianne will forever be remembered as a fun-loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be especially missed by her adoring grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 between 4 and 7pm at URQUHART-MURPHY Funeral Home 800 Greenwich Avenue Warwick, RI. Her funeral will be held Friday March 2, 2018 at 8:45am from the funeral home with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick, RI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Marianne be made to Butler Hospital Aging and Memory Program-Alzheimer's Research 345 Blackstone Boulevard Providence, RI 02906. Online donations can be made at www.butler.org/memory/donate.cfm. Please designate Alzheimer's research.
