Howard Joseph Daylor, 88, of Warwick, died Tuesday February 20, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Barbara Ann (Alsfeld) Daylor. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Florence (Peterson) Daylor.

Howard was a Supervisor for New England Telephone Co., now Verizon, for many years before retiring in 1990.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Daylor was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at his vacation home in New Hampshire.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Kathleen Ann Boucher (Norman) of North Kingstown, Karen Ann Rogers (Robert) of Wakefield, South Kingstown, and John Howard Daylor (Pamela) of North Kingstown. He was the brother of Dorothy Daylor of Warwick, and also the brother-in-law of Elizabeth Daylor of North Kingstown. Mr. Daylor was the grandfather of 7 and the great-grandfather of 2.

Howard was the brother of the late William Daylor.

His funeral will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 8:00am from THE URQUHART - MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are Friday from 4-7pm.
