Elizabeth J. Gagnon, 92, of Warwick died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Gagnon.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Ruth (Gray) Halliday.

Elizabeth was employed as a Clerk at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company until retiring in 1987. She enjoyed golfing, bird watching and being by the ocean.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children: Mary E. Reed (Stephen) of Bonita Springs, FL, John A. Gagnon, Jr. (Beth) of Edenton, NC and Bruce R. Gagnon of West Warwick; seven grandchildren: Mark E. Reed, Lindsay E. Stewart, Thomas G. Reed, John H. Gagnon, Kevin R. Gagnon, Lea M. Meschino and Chad B. Gagnon; and seven great-grandchildren: Sullivan B. Stewart, Griffin R. Stewart, Macklin D. Stewart, Evelyn B. Reed, Cooper J. Reed, Brody T. Meschino and Lily A. Meschino.

She was the mother of the late Kevin P. Gagnon and sister of the late James E. Halliday and Sr. Mary Halliday, CND.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 8:45 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St., West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 PM - 7 PM. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
