Ronald K. Nelson, 74, of Warwick, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Kent Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy E. (O'Brien) Nelson.
Born in Providence on August 28, 1943, he was a son of the late Raymond L. and Sarah R. (Boyle) Nelson.
Ronald retired as a driver for the United Parcel Service after many years of service. He also served in the RI National Guard and was an accomplished home improvement specialist. Ronald and his late wife enjoyed traveling, gardening and visits to Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Ronald is survived by his brother: Ronald L. Nelson, Jr. (late Estelle) of Plant City, FL; two nieces: Karen Mattio of Warwick and Kimberly Maddalena of Maumee, OH; and a sister-in-law: Marilyn A. O'Brien of Cranston.
He was the brother of the late Rhoda C. Kwasniewski.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM - 11 AM.
