Shirley May Carlson, 87, of Warwick died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon C. Carlson.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Clark) Young.

A homemaker, Shirley was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her loving son: Carl J. Carlson and his wife Roberta of East Greenwich; two brothers: Charles Clark of Virginia and Roger Clark of California; four beloved grandchildren: Jessica and Kyle St. Laurent and Erik and Isaac Carlson; and five great-grandchildren.

She was the beloved mother of the late Beverly-Ann St. Laurent.

Her visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2017 from 11 AM - 11:30 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to: St. Elizabeth Home, 1 St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818.
