Doris V. McKnight, 94, formerly of Cranston, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center.  She was the beloved wife of the late Earle F. McKnight.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Richard A. and Mary (Gray) Vieweg.

Doris was employed as a Printer and a Photographer for General Electric Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 1981.  During WWII, Doris served in the US Navy and was also a longtime communicant of St. Ann Church in Cranston.

Doris is survived by her loving sister: Phyllis P. Higgins of Cranston and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Richard, Donald, William and Raymond Vieweg.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 7 PM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 PM - 7 PM.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to:  Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
