Harry B. Parsakian, 92, formerly of Smithfield, RI and Naples, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Martin Nursing and Restorative, in Stuart, FL. Harry, a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was born on September 16, 1925 in Providence, RI, to his parents Harry Parsakian and Marion (Hazian) Parsakian. He was a veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corp as a pilot. He received the Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge on November 2, 1945.
After the Army Air Corp, he worked as a mechanic at Coffee Time, Inc. He was a member and past President of the Smithfield Sportsmans Club before he retired to Naples, Florida with his wife Phyllis where they lived for over 20 years.
He is predeceased by his parents, brother John Parsakian, grandson Nicholas Harry Lisi, and his loving wife of 40 years, Phyllis Earley Parsakian.
Harry is survived by his four daughters, Charle Kral of San Antonio, TX; Kathy Lisi of Stuart, FL; Polly Holten of Jackson, MO and Marie Butera of RI; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a committal service with full Military Honors on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives & friends asked to meet at the administration building parking lot at 1:15 pm prior.
