Bessie Crenshaw, 74, of Providence died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Greenwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warwick. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Bessie was the beloved daughter of James and Bessie Wheeler.

Bessie was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a cook at several area nursing homes for many years.  

Survivors include two sons: Robert Lee Crenshaw and Maurice Leo Crenshaw; a step-daughter:  Karen B. Carano; and additional family members and friends.  

She was the beloved mother of the late Linda Lee Crenshaw.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 PM to 6 PM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.

A funeral service and committal will be held in Pennsylvania.
