Susan M. Young, 58, of Warwick, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the former wife of Daniel A. Young.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Eckman, Jr. and Frances (Messineo) Eckman.

Susan was employed as a Supervisor in Environmental Services at Kent Hospital in Warwick until retiring in 2016 due to illness.  

Susan is survived by her two beloved sons:  Joseph A. Young (Kara) of Warwick and Daniel J. Young (Amanda) of Warwick; five sisters:  Karen Olsen of Nashville, TN, Brenda Monahan of Warwick, Jo-Ann Martin of West Warwick, Debra Blake of Nashville, TN and Lisa Bettencourt of Warwick; three cherished grandchildren:  Ella, Sofia and Ethan Young and two step-sisters:  Jennifer Carrington of VA and Katherine Carrington of Chicago, IL.  

She was the loving mother of the late Michael John Young.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4 PM - 7 PM.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
