Carol H. (McFadden) Hueston, 72, of North Kingstown, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Harriet (Eden) Powell of North Kingstown & the late Robert K. McFadden.

Ms. Hueston was employed as a teacher in Warwick Public Schools for many years until her retirement.

Carol served on the North Kingstown School Committee from 1998-2004 and the Town Council from 2008-2016. She was the Town Council Representative to the North Kingstown Groundwater Committee.

She was a member of the North Kingstown Republican Town Committee, served on the YMCA West Bay Branch Council, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was a member of the North Kingstown Rotary Club, and enjoyed golfing.

In addition to her mother, she leaves her two loving children: David E. Hueston of North Kingstown and Victoria K. Hueston & her wife Bridget of Douglas, MA. She was the mother of the late Kent C. Hueston.

Cherished grandmother of Avery K. Hueston of Douglas, MA, Reese E. Hueston of Douglas, MA, & Cory C. Hueston of Lantana, FL.

She was the sister of Jan Watson of Texas, Carl Barksdale of Colorado, Tom Powell of North Kingstown, & Heather Paskalides of Wakefield. She also leaves several nieces & nephews.

Relatives & friends are invited and may call on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Inurment in Swan Point Cemetery will be private.
