Marguerite E. "Rita" McKeever, 99, of Warwick died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Kent Regency. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. McKeever.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Lucio and Sophia (Moore) Spirito.

Rita was the Vice President of the former McKeevers IGA Foodliner Inc. She was an active communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church for many years and sang in the choir. Rita was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Young Democrats of Warwick.

Rita is survived by her loving daughter: Rita A. McKeever of West Warwick; two grandchildren: Thomas J. "TJ" McKeever (Erin) and Michael H. McKeever (Lindsay) and great-grandchildren: Mazie Jane, Theodore Jackson and Maddox F. McKeever.

She was the devoted mother of the late Thomas L. McKeever and beloved sister of the late Vera S. McCabe, Mary Rosenblatt, Irene Cooper, Andrew Spirito and Arthur Spirito.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017at 9 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 PM - 8 PM. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
