Robert G. Collins, 93, of North Kingstown, "Crossed the Bar" on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Boston) Collins. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was a son of the late Everett L. Collins & Emma (Parker-Grimley) Collins.

Mr. Collins owned and operated Pleasant Street Wharf of Wickford for many years. He proudly served with the U.S. Merchant Mariners during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Eric M. Collins & his wife Sandra Anderson of North Kingstown, Chris J. Collins & his wife Mary of North Kingstown, Bruce Collins & his wife Janice of Florida, & Janet Collins of West Greenwich. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew Collins & his wife Kelsey of North Kingstown, Marc Collins of North Kingstown & Scott Collins of North Kingstown.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, his funeral and burial will be private. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
