Louis DeMaula, 86, formerly of Providence, returned home on Thursday, October 5, 2017 to be with his wife the late Lorraine D. (DelRicco) DeMaula and his son the late John J. DeMaula.
He is survived by his loving son Robert L. DeMaula and his wife Kim of Cranston, his cherished sister Ruth J. Lombardi of Bristol, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Louis was employed as a Traffic Manager for the former Parflex Rubber Thread Co. of Providence until its closing, he later was a fire man for the Providence School Department, and an employee of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI. He proudly served as a US Marine in the Korean War and was an avid New England Patriots fan and a fabulous cook especially known for his delicious pizza which was enjoyed by many.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017at 9:45 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave. (Route 5), Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 5 PM - 7 PM in the funeral home. A graveside burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
