Mary Jane De Angelis, 59, of Cranston died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved daughter of Mary J. (Bolvin) De Angelis of Cranston and the late Joseph P. De Angelis.

Mary received a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Smith College and later received a Master's Degree in Physiology and Biomedical Science from the University of Connecticut. She was also a Juris Doctorate candidate at Widener University School of Law and a PhD candidate at the University of Connecticut.

Mary was the President of Upwardly Mobil, a Technical Writing & Medical Communication Service Company, in Cranston until illness forced her early retirement. She was also an instructor at the University of Connecticut and Rhode Island College.

Mary was also an Editor for a University of Connecticut Health Center biomedical researcher, Prof. Douglas Oliver, PhD., an Advertising Designer and Copywriter for Capital Home Inspections Company, a Web Designer and Copywriter for Aqueduct Painting, Inc., a Writer and Columnist on Health Law issues publishing news articles in The Warwick Beacon and US Newswire and an Editor and Consultant for Dr. John Susa, Univ. Affiliated Programs.

In addition to her beloved mother, Mary is survived by two brothers: Joseph J. De Angelis of Boca Raton, FL and Gary S. De Angelis of Deerfield Beach, FL. She was also the dear aunt of Joseph T. De Angelis and Alexis M. De Angelis.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to: THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
