Maureen J. Nixon, 92, of Warwick, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Nixon.

Born in Cranston, Maureen was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Etta (Hannan) Maloney.

Maureen was employed as a Music Teacher for the City of Warwick for over thirty years.  She was an alumnae of Rhode Island College and a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church.

Maureen is survived by her loving children: Kevin T. Nixon (Naomi) of North Stonington, CT, Kerry R. Nixon (Donna) and Kim M. Nixon (Rosemary) all of Warwick, Richard J. Nixon (Linda) of Saunderstown and Robert A. Nixon (Pamela) of Warwick; nine cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick on Wednesday from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM.  Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to:  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at:  www.stjude.org/donate.
