Ann Daly Snell
August 29, 2017 | Obituary

Ann Daly Snell, 76, of Narragansett, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at South County Hospital in South Kingstown.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Agnes (Dempsey) Daly.

A lover of her family, fashion, and the many friends she acquired as a result of living in more than twenty cities throughout her professional career, Ann was happy to return to and retire in the Ocean State—her forever home. Rhode Island and its breathtaking coastline held a special place in Ann’s heart. Whether it was enjoying the view from the Point Judith Light House, strolling along the Narragansett Seawall or gazing at the colorful September skies that always took her breath away, Ann appreciated these simple things.

Ann’s beauty, distinguished grace and signature style were recognized by all that knew and loved her.

Among holding a variety of positions in the many cities where she lived, Ann’s employment in Rhode Island included Outlet Communications (WJAR-TV) and GTECH Corporation.

Ann (“Auntie Ann”) is survived by a brother: Paul M. Daly and his wife Patty of Cherry Hill, NJ; two nieces: Mary Kate Heston of Scarborough, ME; Meghan Daly Anderson of Avon, MA; two nephews:  Brian O’Hara of Cranston; Kevin Bardsley of Ohio; and two grand-nephews: Benjamin and Matthew Heston of Scarborough, ME.

She was the sister of the late Robert T. Daly and Madelyn C. O’Hara.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ann’s memory may be made to:  St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett, RI 02882.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
