Anna Lake Adams passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Bethany House of RI. Born August 28, 1937 in Frankfurt, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Lynn D. and Mary B Adams.

Anna did her studies with the Gulf Park College, now part of Southern Mississippi State University. She was a substance abuse counselor for many years in New York before moving to Rhode Island in 1978 where she continued her work with Talbot House and in private practice until her retirement.

Anna always maintained her sweet disposition, beautiful smile and offered encouraging words, or celebrated successes of others, spreading positivity and love.

Anna enjoyed kayaking, quilting, reading, bridge, opera, and traveling to Newport, RI and Provincetown, MA. She was a supporter of many South American causes and libraries.

Mother of Lisa Tester, Paramus, NJ and Grandmother of Matthew John Tester, Elmwood Park, NJ. The sister of John B. Adams, Kansas, and the late Lynn D. Adams III, New York. She leaves nieces Christine Adams, Laura I. Weeks, Jennifer Myers Adams and nephew Ryan Adams. She is also survived by several grand nephews and nieces.

Following Anna's instructions and wishes a private green burial will take place and a public memorial service will be planned to be held in the fall.
