Italo A. Sciarra, 88, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Warwick, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Fortuna "Una" D. (Impagliazzo) Sciarra. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Loreto and Josephine (Zincone) Sciarra.
Italo was a skilled mason and also was employed as an associate at The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home in Warwick.
Italo is survived by his loving children: Larry A. Sciarra of West Palm Beach, FL, Deb A. Pellegrino (George Popella) of FL and Melissa A. Penick (Dave Gorbey) of Providence; six cherished grandchildren: Nicholas Pellegrino, Michael Sciarra, Benjamin Penick, Matthew Penick, Davey Gorbey and Sciarra Gorbey; and three great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Frank Sciarra, Angelo Sciarra and Mary A. Vigorito.
His funeral will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 8:45 AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 PM - 7 PM. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
