Robert E. Morris, 56, of Charlestown, passed away July 14, 2017 at Brigham & Women's Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kimberly Leite-Morris, married 30 years. Born in Bronx, NY to the late Evan Morris & Roberta (Gould) Morris.
Robert was the Quality Engineering Manager at Honeywell and a Six Sigma Champion. He received a BS degree from The University of Rhode Island in Mechanical Engineering (member of Theta Chi) and a MBA from Bryant University. He proudly served as President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Bob was an avid golfer, talented woodworker, long time Mets and Jets fan and always eager to take the dance floor! He will be remembered as everyone's "fix it" guy and for his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his loving sisters, Christine Fuller and Mary Carley and her husband Michael; brother of the late Gerard Morris; son-in-law of John Leite and late wife Shirley and late mother-in-law Marie Celentano. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10 am. in Christ the King Parish, Kingston. Burial will follow in Quidnesset Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting Hours: The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
