Corrine D. (DiBattista) Brazee, 89, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. She was the loving wife of Franklin D. Brazee. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo P. DiBattista & Theresa E. (Errico) DiBattista.
Mrs. Brazee was an author, painter, and sculptor. She was a member of Beacon Free Will Baptist Church, the American Police Hall of Fame and a member of the Republican Presidential Task Force for Ronald Reagan & George Bush. She volunteered at South County Hospital and with the Welcome Wagon in Cranston.
She received honorable mention in the Book of Honors American Bio Institute, Notable American Women Association, Who s Who in American Law Enforcement, the recipient of the Women s Inner Circle of Achievement & Recognition of distinguished efforts towards the enrichment of the North American Communities, National Campaign Advisors Republican International Award, and was nominated for the Woman of the Decade as a special human being.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her loving children: Walter O. (Bud) Drescher, Jr. and his wife Anne of North Kingstown, and Cynthia J. Archambault and her husband Marc of Newport. She was the mother of the late Blaine L. Drescher. Cherished grandmother of Julie C. Michaels of Warwick, and her husband Kevin, Mathew D. Drescher of North Kingstown, and great-grandmother of Kendra Michaels & Kevin Michaels, Jr. of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Eleanora Fredricks.
Private Funeral Services were held in Beacon Free Will Baptist Church, Exeter. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted. Gifts in her memory to Beacon Free Will Baptist Church, 100 Exeter Road, Exeter, RI 02822 will be appreciated.
