William A. Walsh, 72, of Warwick, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of Janice (Mottola) Walsh. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Hubert W. Velino, Sr. and Florence E. (Everett) Velino.

William was employed as a Security Officer at Avellino Security Corporation of North Attleboro and was also employed as a professional mover. William honorably served in the US Marine Corps.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by two sons: Antonio A. Avellino of Warwick and James Wexford Walsh of Denver, CO; three brothers: Lawrence R. Velino, Sr. of North Attleboro, Charles M. Velino of Warwick and Gary E. Velino of Florida and three sisters: Patricia A. Lee of Providence, Elaine M. Norman of Seekonk and Donna J. Velino of Providence.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Noon in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 10 AM - Noon in the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will take place on Monday at the VA National Cemetery of Massachusetts, Bourne.
