Frances M. (Ogren) Brown, 82, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Brown. Born in East Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Nels E. Ogren & Prudence M. (Wood) Ogren.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to take care of her fish pond and to work in her gardens.

She leaves her loving children: Linda B. Wells and her husband John of Penhook, VA, and Robert E. Brown, Jr. and his wife Chari Short of Poetry, TX, Debra Harbin & her husband Marc McGiveney of West Kingston, Jane Tucker and her husband Arthur of North Kingstown, and Kathleen B. Gustafson and her husband Gene of North Kingstown. She was the sister of Jane Woodrow of Ocala, FL, Roger E. Ogren of Benton, ME, and John A. Ogren of Old Saybrook, CT. She also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & one great, great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held privately with THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling Hours have been respectfully omitted.
