Barbara A. Rousseau, 85, of Warwick, died Monday, April 10th, at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice H. Rousseau. Born in Central Falls, Barbara was a daughter of the late John and Mary E. (Mulberry) Bloomer.
Barbara was a clerk at the former Star Market for 25 years. She was the owner of Barbara Ann's Restaurant in Grace Church Apartments in Providence for 10 years and a dietary aid at West View Nursing Home for 3 years, retiring in 1993. She was also a member of the Retirees of UFCW, Local 328.
Barbara is survived by two sons: John H. Rousseau (Susan) of Warwick and Donald M. Rousseau (Margaret) of Greenock, Scotland; a sister: Joan Noury (Normand) of Cumberland and Florida; 7 grandchildren: Cathy (Adam) of Merrimack, NH, Christopher of Warwick, Julie (Nick) of Framingham and Jonathan of Warwick and Caroline, Lynn and David of Scotland; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Mary E. Carr and Gladys M. Jefferson.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 9:00AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Visiting hours on Friday from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
