Margaret A. "Peg" (Staples) Hosey, 86, of East Greenwich, RI, formerly of Yarmouth, MA, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Scalabrini Villa.  She was the wife of the late James R. Hosey, Sr.  Born in Presque Isle, ME, she was the daughter of the late Ernest D. Staples & Alda B. (Jacobs) Staples. 

Mrs. Hosey was a homemaker and communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church of Hyannis.  She was member of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary, Yarmouth Senior Center, and the Red Hat Society. 

She leaves her loving children: Bonnie G. Reilly and her husband Thomas of North Kingstown, RI and James R. Hosey, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Goldsboro, NC.  She was the cherished grandmother of Erin Lubien of Belmont, MA, Kelley Reilly of Wayne, PA, Meaghan Reilly of London, England, Jennifer Jordan of Carlsbad, CA, Shannon E. Hosey of Marlboro, MA and great-grandmother of Reilly Lubien of Belmont, MA.  She was the sister of Richard Staples of Mansfield, CT. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, Wickford.  Burial will follow at 1:00 pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA.  Relatives & friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main St, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. 

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association 245 Waterman St. Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated.
