Andrew P. McGovern, 59, of Plum Beach, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at Berkshire Place in Providence.  Born in Providence, Andrew was the beloved son of Beatrice L. (O'Neill) McGovern of Plum Beach and the late Francis J. McGovern.

Andrew attended the Spring Green School. His happiest time was being invited to be the Godfather of his nephew, Patrick McGovern. He will be missed by all of his loved ones.

In addition to his mother, Andrew is survived by his cherished siblings: Frank X. McGovern and his wife Helen of Cranston, Neil McGovern and his wife Robin of Cranston, James McGovern of Narragansett, Anne McClard and her husband Michael of Coventry, Lilly Dwyer and her husband Don of Warwick and John McGovern of So. Kingstown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Morton McGovern.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
