Thomas E. Sliney, Jr., 67, of Warwick passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Shirley L. (Loftin) Sliney for 48 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Agnes (Allen) Sliney.
Mr. Sliney was a Superintendent for General Dynamics Corp., Electric Boat Division until his retirement. A Hockey enthusiast, he served as a Hockey Coach for Warwick P.A.L. now Warwick Junior Hockey. Tom enjoyed gardening, sailing, riding his motorcycle and reading about history.
He was the loving father of Thomas E. Sliney, III and his wife Tammy and David J. Sliney and his wife Petra, all of Warwick. Cherished grandfather of Meghan, Joseph, Daniel, Madison and Justin. Caring brother of Carol-Ann Brothers and Barbara Converse, both of Warwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
