Robert L. Jenne, Sr., 87, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Wickford, died peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was the loving, devoted husband of Beverly J. (Fortune) Jenne, the joy of his life for 61 years. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, he was a son of the late Malcolm L. Jenne & Margaret R. (Houdlette) Jenne.
Mr. Jenne worked in the Banking industry for 39 years, retiring as a Vice President of Fleet Bank. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He leaves his three loving children: LuAnn Cumbest & her husband Ron of Powder Springs, GA, Wendy Jenne-Bass & her husband Raymond Bass of Kennesaw, GA & Robert L. Jenne, Jr. of Johnston, RI. Cherished grandfather of Scott J. Ingerson of Santa Monica, CA, Justin R. Ingerson of West Warwick, RI, Wesley R. Bass & his wife Sara of Chamblee, GA, Airman Reid R. Bass of Montgomery, AL, & great-grandfather of Ryan K. Ingerson of West Warwick & Jackson M. Doucette of Chamblee, GA. He was the loving brother of KarenLu LaPolice of North Kingstown, Malcolm B. Jenne of Toronto & the late Brian D. Jenne.
His graveside service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 am in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. A celebration of life gathering will take place immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of his beloved wife, Beverly, donations to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org would be greatly appreciated.
