George A. Low, Jr., 81 of Cranston, RI passed away at home February 8th surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Loretta (Read) Low. They were married for 55 years. George was the son of the late Margaret E. (Kelley) and George A. Low, Sr.
A United States Air Force Veteran, he worked at Ciba-Geigy Chemical as a stationary engineer and HVAC mechanic for 21 years and more recently working in the facilities department of the Providence Public Library.
He was the loving father of George A. Low, III and Timothy S. Low and his companion Janine Jackson. George was also the loving brother to Kenneth and James Low, Patricia Waterman, Mina Ross, Carol Kanea and Cynthia Gallagher. He enjoyed being Uncle George to numerous nieces and nephews. He truly enjoyed and loved spending time with all of George and Tim's pets and they loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 12-1 followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Interment of ashes, with military honors, will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory can be made to Hospice Care, VNA of Care NE, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886.
