Bernard A. Ferrante, 83, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2017 at his home with his loved ones nearby. He was the beloved husband of Louise Boyd Ferrante, a proud father and grandfather.

Born May 30, 1933 in Providence, R.I., he was the youngest of four children of the late Pasquale Ferrante, a painting contractor, and Marietta Fornaro Ferrante, a homemaker. Bernie graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1951, He served in the U.S. Army as Pfc(T) from 1953 to 1955 with an honorable discharge.
