Julieann Carlson, 50, of Warwick passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Heidi L. (Geisler) Carlson. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Jean C. (Fagan) Carlson.
Julieann was an educator at Jenks Junior High School in Pawtucket where she was teaching art. Art was her passion. She served in the Rhode Island Air National Guard and received many awards and medals during and after her deployment to Kuwait and retired after 25 years with the rank of Captain. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Rhode Island College.
She was the loving mother of Shawn J. Lunn of Stamford, CT. Caring step-mother of Michael V. Martinez and Diana L. Martinez. She is also survived by her former husband Scott F. Lunn.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with military honors, in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling Hours will be held on SATURDAY from 2:00-5:00 pm.
