    Harry P. Leeds, 88, of Cranston passed into God's arms on December 20, 2016.  He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Doyon) Powers-Leeds.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Harry Leeds and Louise (Klein) Devine.
    Mr. Leeds was a Devout Catholic, he was a communicant of St. Joseph Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the choir.  He attended daily Mass for many years and had the privilege of opening the church each day and served as an alter server and lecture.  As a proud WW II Veteran he served in The United States Navy on the USS Leyte.  The majority of his working career was spent in the coating and wood working industry, then as a car salesman and retired after managing an office for a Paramedical Facility.
    He was the loving father of David, Charles, Michael and John.  Caring step father of David J. Powers, Bruce Dancause, Larry Dancause, Patricia Dumas and the late Marc Dancause.  Cherished grandfather, great grandfather and uncle of his many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Charles M. Leeds.
    His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Burial, with military honors, in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 3:00-6:00 pm. 
    In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St., West Warwick, RI 02893 or Home Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 No. Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
