Claire Ann Eddy, 92, of Warwick died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick.  She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick H. "Babe" Eddy.  They were married in 1943 until his passing on April 4, 2012.

Born in Providence, Claire was a daughter of the late Frank L. and Isabelle C. (Allen) McKenna.  

She was employed as a telephone operator for many years at New England Telephone Company until retiring.  Claire was also employed at Ann & Home and United Health Care.  She also was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Warwick and volunteered at Kent Hospital for over thirty-five years.

Claire is survived by her beloved children:  Joseph F. Eddy and his wife Denise of Leesburg, FL and Sharon A. Mattera of Warwick; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Evelyn C. Parker and Raymond, Francis and Gerald McKenna.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 9 AM from THE URQUHART-FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick.  Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5 PM - 7 PM.  Burial will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown.
