Russell V. Howard, 93, of Warwick passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Born in Providence, he was the beloved husband of the late Stacia (Czapla) Howard and son of the late Samuel and Alice (Wicklund) Howard. He was the brother of the late Herbert Howard. Russell and Stacia had been married for 61 years.
He was the former owner of Peoples Storage Warehouse and Anchor Realty Company.
He was the beloved father of Mark R. Howard of Warwick and Diane C. Sullivan and her husband Dr. William Sullivan of East Greenwich.
He leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Julie A. Boutwell and her husband Patrick of Warwick, Mark R. Howard, Jr. of Providence and Adam J. Sullivan and his wife Nicole of Exeter. He also leaves one great-grandchild, Henry O. Boutwell.
Russell served in The Navy during World War II in the Mediterranean as well as The Pacific aboard The USS Cotoctin.
He was a member of The East Greenwich Yacht Club and a life member of The Shriners. He was an avid Red Sox fan. He will be missed by all.
His Funeral at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private.
