Robert Joseph Papa, 76, of Warwick died Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the former husband of Jane L. Papa-Arnold of Warwick.
Born in Cranston, Robert was a son of the late Henry and Norma (LaPorte) Papa. He was the former operator of the Greenwood Inn in Warwick.
In addition to his former wife, Robert is survived by three sons: Keith H. Papa and his wife Karen of Warwick, Robert J. Papa, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Warwick and John C. Papa and his wife Dianne of West Warwick; three daughters: Wendy J. Moran and her husband Thomas of Warwick, Patricia A. Mercurio and her husband Greg of East Greenwich and Susan E. Papa of Warwick; a brother: Henry Papa and his wife Theresa of Mobile, AL; a sister: Betty Hopkinson-Moriarty of East Providence; and eleven grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowessett Road, Warwick. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private.
