Mark F. Tripp, 68, of North Kingstown passed away on September 14, 2016 at home.  He was the beloved husband of Carla A. (Ciummo) Tripp.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late M. Hollis and Harriet E. (Anderson) Tripp.

Mark retired as a Sergeant with the Warwick Police Department.  During his career as a police officer, his proudest achievement was serving as a detective in the Major Crime Unit for 7 years.  He also was a Court Officer & Sheriff with the R.I. He graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, attended U.R.I., and graduated from the Warwick Police Academy.  A communicant of St. Bernard Church, Mark was a man of uncompromised principle with a great sense of humor.  He was the quintessential self made man and an enthusiastic animal lover and caregiver.  He was also an expert on Civil War History and the Old West.

He was the loving brother of David E. Tripp of Intervale, NH, Susan T. Leveillee and her husband Alan of Warwick, and the late Deborah E. Tripp.  Cherished uncle of David, Benjamin, and Andrew Leveillee and granduncle of 2 grandnephews and 1 grandniece.
