Jean F. Spinard, 66, of Foster died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Kent Hospital.  Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Arthur B. and Evelyn (Oakes) Spinard.

Jean was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons: Arthur B. Spinard of West Warwick and Robert E. Spinard of Foster; a daughter: Melissa A. Spinard Merolli of Cranston; a brother: William Spinard of Coventry; four sisters: Joan Spinard-Dion of West Warwick, Deborah Parenteau and Donna Smith, both of Warwick and Ann Kohlman of West Warwick; five grandchildren: Kevin Bates, Stephanie Bates-Bowery, Brendan Merolli, Taylor Spinard and Shalyn Cucino and two great-grandchildren: Paisley Cucino and Brett Bowery.

Jean was the mother of the late Kimberly Ann Bates and sister of the late Sandra Landry, Arthur Spinard, Gerald Spinard and Bertha Marie Spinard.  

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning prior to the funeral service from 9 AM - 11 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Jean's family.
