Ronald A. Moreau, 89, of Warwick, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Elise (DiFalco) Moreau.
Born in West Warwick, Ronald was a son of the late Arthur and Gracia (Rousseau) Moreau. He was employed as a welder at Grinnell Corporation. During WWII, Ronald served in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 74 in Natick and enjoyed playing golf and playing cards.
Ronald is survived by his children: Ronald T. (Elizabeth) Moreau and Cheryl A. Confreda, all of Warwick; his siblings: Roger Moreau of Las Vegas, NV and Gloria Lamb of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren: Michael, Ronald, Kara, Vincent, Corey and Jonathan; and a son-in-law: Richard LaPorte.
Ronald was the father of the late Michael A. Moreau and Gail E. LaPorte and brother of the late Armand, Donald and Steven Moreau and Jeannine Potter.
His funeral will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 9:30 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Visiting hours one hour prior to the service on Monday from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM. Graveside committal with military honors to follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
