80, of Wickford, died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was the wife of Frederick E. "Ted" Seymour II, and daughter of the late Senator George C. & Marjorie (Main) Cranston. She was the sister of the late George C. "Cy" Cranston, III, A. Lenore Cranston, and David S. Cranston.

Gail was a former piano teacher, organist, Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and member of St. Paul"s Wickford junior and senior choirs, the Church of the Ascension choir in Wakefield and the NK Community Chorus. She was the first licensed female Lay Reader at St. Paul's and at Church of the Ascension.

She was the Manager of Joseph's Coat Thrift Shop in Wickford for 24 years, crewed with Ted, racing on his one-design Sea Sprites and Ensign and was 1st mate on the "Morning Star" charter vessel and on their lobster boat, the "Gail Roberta".

Gail was an animal and plant lover who spent many hours in her yard and gardens, watching and feeding birds and various other four legged and feathered guests.

Gail is survived by her loving children: Debra Eubank and husband David, Frederick Seymour III and his wife Christie, Debra Seymour, Susan Makara, Steven Seymour, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Charles Seymour. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will be private. Relatives & friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090 or to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI 02904.
